Automatic Brake Adjuster System

MVS’s GEN II Automatic Brake Adjuster is easy to install and even easier to adjust the proper shoe-to-drum clearance in all braking modes. A new Clutch Release Button eliminates overriding the clutch teeth during adjustment, resulting in increased clutch life. Our patented Auto-Check™ offers OEM's an extra measure of quality control by visually confirming the ABA's correct set-up position.

Achieving final adjustment with the GEN II ABA is made easier with the Clutch Release feature. The adjusting shaft hex can turn freely in either direction; that means no more “hard” half turn backoffs to preset lining to drum clearance. Installers need only push in the Clutch Release, back off the hex half turn and release.

Corrosion-resistance on the GEN II is also improved. Our patented “Cam-Guard” feature protects the S-Camshaft splines by guiding grease to the splines every time the ABA is greased. Every GEN II is 100% sealed from both moisture and contaminants, eliminating the possibility of internal component corrosion and failure. The single-side-cover design reduces corrosion issues.
