Metform's Machined Components Awarded Ford Q1 Award

In December 2007, Metform's Machined Components (MC) was awarded the coveted Ford Q1 award. The achievement of Q1 is a milestone for securing new business with Ford Motor Company. The process included self and on-site assessments of MSA (Manufacturing Site Assessment) and MMOG (Material Management Operation Guidelines) and a six month ship period without a single incident. The facility shipped over 15 million pieces during the six month window which represents approximately 35% of all Metform sales. MC is dedicated to machining precision gear blanks for Ford, GM and Magna Powertrain with turning, milling and broaching operations.
