Securex® Wheel Nuts
The First Choice for Virtually All Hub, Drum & Wheel
OEMs in the U.S.
With 3 to 5 times more clamping force than conventional ball-seat fasteners, Securex® means longer wheel life, reduced maintenance and greater safety.
The nut body on each Securex® Wheel Fastener is made of through-hardened carbon steel and each free spinning washer is made of through-hardened and tempered chrome-moly steel. This design generates a bearing-type action which allows more of the torque to be transmitted into clamping force. At the same time, this bearing action offers a more precise torque-to-clamp force relationship, allowing the entire fastening system to be used at the optimum end of the load range.
• Name forged into washer assures product integrity
• Heat lot traceability code on every fastener
• PTFE coating reduces friction, enhances corrosion-protection
• Meets SAE J1965 requirement for torque tension
• North American Manufacturer

Securelok™ Wheel Nuts
| • |
Engineered for reliability when challenged with vibration and frequent severe braking, which can cause the most secure joints to loosen. |
| • |
Consistent torque/tension and formed ramps-and-valleys on the nut-washer interface resist vibration-induced back off. |
| • |
Application torque requirements are in the same range as current wheel fasteners (450 to 500 lbs/ft. of torque). |
| • |
Joint tension values exceed 45,000 pounds clamp force in laboratory testing. |
Laboratory Tests Show Reversal Torque Value ~80% of Those Required During Installation Securelok™ Wheel Nuts are designed to require the nut to increase joint tension in order to reverse or back off. During application, the fastener “settles” into a valley between two high spots (ramps). To back off, the nut must rise over a high spot.
Tests Yield Remarkable Results for Torque/Tension, Vibration Analysis and Salt Spray Performance M22 size Securelok™ nuts have undergone long-term salt spray exposure testing and have completed vigorous fatigue and vibration-resistance testing, using state-of-the-art testing equipment (Junkers).
